MY HERO ACADEMIA ORIGINAL CHARACTER. frequently deployed to the frontlines thanks to his quirk, akihiko serves as a living shield for his allies, always ready to absorb the damage meant for others. his self–sacrificial nature makes him an invaluable asset in battle, though it also underscores a troubling truth: his willingness to endure pain for the sake of others borders on recklessness. it’s no surprise then that his disregard for his own well–being paints a picture of someone who is⸺if not outright suicidal⸺living dangerously, with little care for his own survival in the face of duty. 001 : all interactions welcome. feel free to drop a one–liner or a starter anytime, spam or not. if you’d like to discuss things further, ask for my discord handle to plot; i’d be delighted to talk about this and that for our muses! even though akihiko is mainly bnha–versed, he can also be both fandom and verse flexible, meaning just about anyone can interact with him.002 : activity. i’ll try my best to respond to all roleplays that i have, as long as i have the spare time to do so. i’m a full–time college student, hence my replies may come around within a few minutes or hours or even days, depending on the workload i have. additionally, i manage several other accounts, so my attention is spread across multiple characters. if you’d want to continue a thread, do tag me to get back to it. but please, don’t pressure me into writing.003 : message board. i often delete most of my old announcements, especially if several days or a week has passed. however, i regularly post starter calls to give people the opportunity to engage with my muse whenever they’d like. i rarely delete interaction threads but when i do, it’s to fix my account’s layout or i have critically low motivation to roleplay; i promise that i’m not mad or anything if i delete our thread by chance.
004 : godmodding. looks can be deceiving, yes, but please keep in mind that akihiko is more than capable of holding his own in a fight. although he may come across as delicate due to the way he presents himself, do not be fooled. he’s as much a fighter as he is a defender; after all, his family ensured he underwent intensive preparation as a child, honing him into a skilled combatant once he grew up. that being said, avoid making assumptions about his character in general. if you’re not sure whether a starter would work or not in any context regarding his lore, don’t be afraid to ask me for clarification!005 : relationships. i’m always open to exploring relationships and connections with akihiko! don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any ideas for interactions between our muses. platonic relations are highly encouraged; as mentioned in his lore, he takes on an older brother–like role for toga, meaning he can extend the same kind of guidance and support to anyone younger than him, villain or not. on the other hand, romantic relations are a much more complicated matter. while not impossible, it would require significant development and understanding from both sides. i tend to be selective when it comes to shipping. if i can’t see akihiko pursuing a serious relationship with your muse, i’ll likely suggest an alternative connection instead.

001 : 守護の絆 / warding bond. this quirk allows the user to form a protective bond with another individual through physical contact. while the bond is active, the target benefits from increased durability and resistance to damage, effectively halving the impact of attacks. however, the user simultaneously experiences the same injuries the bonded target would have taken, albeit at a reduced intensity. when using his quirk, the bond manifests as a glowing chain–like tattoo, typically visible on his forearm.002 : quirk awakening. occurs during the final war arc exclusively. instead of linking with just one person, the user can now form bonds with multiple allies, distributing the attacks across them all evenly. this means everyone takes less overall damage, including himself. the more bonds active, the harder it is to take any one of them down.003 : overall abilities. having been born into a prestigious family in kamakura, akihiko was rigorously trained in swordsmanship from a young age, mastering both traditional and modern blade techniques with exceptional precision. as a side effect of his quirk, he also developed a high tolerance for pain, allowing him to withstand injuries for prolonged durations.character playlist can be found here.
arc 001 : upbringing. descended from the legendary minamoto no yoshitsune himself, the minamoto clan stands as one of the most revered lineages in kamakura, japan. known for their heroics and a legacy of sword–based quirks, they have long embodied the spirit of the samurai. but among them is one boy who defies tradition⸺akihiko minamoto. born without the sharp edge of his ancestors, he is not a blade but a shield. a stark contrast to his kin, his quirk lacks the cutting power that defines his family, yet his destiny was never his to choose. despite his differences, he was trained with relentless discipline, expected to uphold the family’s name alongside his older siblings, molded into a warrior meant to surpass the previous generation.arc 002 : middle school. years have passed, and now, standing at the edge of a new chapter, akihiko is about to finish middle school. it was around this time that he came to a harsh realization: he wasn’t cut out to be a hero. the truth was, it had never been his dream to begin with. while his siblings thrived in the pursuit of heroism, he found himself questioning if this path was ever truly his own. at that point, he met himiko toga, who had just started her first year at the school. their meeting was nothing more than a chance encounter on the rooftop, though something about the moment clicked. for a while, the two bonded almost every school day, sharing conversations and memories in their little sanctuary. but alas, the time came for akihiko to leave. he couldn’t stay, and just like that, their paths diverged.arc 003 : dropping the ambition. it was then that he graduated from the general studies department at u.a. high school. regardless of the years of training and discipline, akihiko found himself at a crossroads, unable to carve out a clear future for himself in the world of heroes. he had given everything he could; he tried applying for various hero agencies, but each time, he was turned away or offered a support role. “what now?” he wondered, feeling aimless and lost. uncertainty bothered him too much and a profound wave of disappointment crashed over him. he couldn’t help but feel like he had let everyone down. at a young age, he was forced to leave his family home. with no achievements to his name, nothing to show for himself, his parents couldn’t even look his way anymore.arc 004 : recruitment. the boy’s path to villainy came unexpectedly. during one of his lonely walks, akihiko ended up unexpectedly venting to a man he had never met before. frustration had built up inside him over the years, and in that moment, the weight of it all spilled out, speaking without thinking and unloading his doubts. when the conversation turned to the idea of purpose, the man introduced the league of villains to him, not as an enemy, but as an opportunity. he wasn’t being asked to become a hero⸺he was invited to be himself, no strings attached. the offer was tempting, a chance for escapism. feeling like he had no other options and a growing sense that he might finally have a place where he could belong, akihiko accepted. and with that, giran brought him into the league. if his family deems him a black sheep, so be it, he’ll become one just for them.

002 : romantic relationships. selective multiship with chemistry. there will only be one mainship slot, while two or three spots will remain open for multiship; the first one will be canon, whereas the latter will be considered non–canon and treated as an “alternate universe” instead. the only requirement is that our muses must have interacted quite a lot beforehand to build a natural connection. to add, for my own comfort, the love interest’s age range should be around eighteen to twenty–three.
